Wombourne was a small agricultural village whose inhabitants turned to nail-making in their own backyards when times became hard. Now this South Staffordshire village on the edge of the Black Country has been engulfed by houses and industrial buildings to become the 'largest village in England'.

This book has been written by members for the Wombourne History Group with help from people in the village. None is a professional writer, photographer or academic but they want to share their knowledge with others.
